The Regions participate to EU and international programmes,
such as Interreg (Cadses and Medoc) particularly aimed at
the European regions and local authorities, Culture 2000,
5th and 6thFP, Socrates, Life, to the Steering Committees
of EQUAL. The following are an example of projects now running
in several Italian regions:
- Interreg Castrum (Leader Partner Piemonte) a survey and
strategy on castles and walls;
- Interreg ITER (LP Emilia-Romagna) a cultural itinerary
of historical spas, with descriptive cataloguing and GIS;
- Culture 2000 Les Chemins de la mémoire (LP Mémorial de
Caen) the reconstruction and enhancing of World War historical
sites
- Equal ABSIDE, (as members of theSteering Comm.) Training
in libraries.
- Consortium of European Research Libraries, building and
maintaining the Hand-Press Book Database.
