This section should contain the description, analysis and awareness of the cultural heritage conserved in the museum. The contents could be organised according to level of depth of information:
- Basic information on the collection. This means starting off with a general approach, and leading up to describing each significant part of the heritage conserved.
- Information and advanced documentation for education and professional training and for support of cultural tourism. The fields applicable to this level are vast and various. They include critical and thematic analysis and advanced virtual elaboration of data. In the case of museums, this means offering selected data banks and also the realisation of specialised software applications for training and museology.
- Give access to complex data banks for education and scientific research.
