Accessibility and Multimedia

The use of animated and 3D images may compromise accessibility of on-line contents. Loading times, the need to download plug-ins to view images, and also the fact that animations are considered images by search engines and therefore not indexed, are all negative points for the usability and accessibility of these applications.

These objects must also be supported by measures and tools for use (be it imperfect) of contents on the part of disabled users.

Animated and 3D images must be accompanied by a declaration that states the difficulty of accessibility.
