The web site may contain functions that require user identification via Login. These personalised services require users to supply personal and reserved information.

Users may not wish to be obliged to supply personal details each time they access a personalised service and they want to be sure their personal details will be managed correctly. It should therefore be possible to supply personal details only once during enrolment or registration and privacy should be strictly respected.

The registration procedure must be planned with care:

  • only relevant information should be requested,
  • if a lot of details are required, enrolment should be divided into steps, each step requiring similar types of information,
  • users should be informed of the result of each step in the procedure,
  • There should be a procedure which allows users to modify data and cancel the enrolment,
  • modes of use should be clearly stated,

Privacy laws must be respected.
