Web Design

The visual aspects of a site are fundamental.

When designing a site, aesthetics, navigation and accessibility must be considered. Always remember that the graphic layout of a site is very different from that of a book. What may be elegant and visually pleasing on paper, may be illegible or even visually disturbing on screen.

When planning the design of a Web site, consider the following:

  • type of characters
  • legibility of characters on screen
  • colour
  • alignment
  • length of lines and spacing of lines
  • highlighted elements
