Abstract
The talk will start with a review of the developments in the field of IT and tourism (e-tourism), highlight the importance of technology for the travel and tourism industry. This review will result into some qualitative observation, regarding technical as well as market issues - the latter related especially with changing market structures. The presentation will conclude with a set of challenges, the industry as well as research is confronted wit.
